“Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.”-Maria Montessori
We believe exploration without inhibitions lead to new discoveries. Allowing your child to freely engage his curiosities creates windows of opportunity for our teachers to introduce him to new concepts to explore. Our teachers encourage children to ask questions, dig deeper, and think broader.
“One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.”-Maria Montessori
When their senses are appropriately engaged children reveal the true joy of learning. We believe children are naturally joyful learners and our responsibility is to maintain joyful educational experiences.
“The greatest sign of success for the teacher is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist”-Maria Montessori
NIA House Montessori teachers equip children with the tools necessary to explore their curiosities while maintaining minimal adult interference. We guide the children through the necessary steps toward functioning independently. Our teachers believe when a child is afforded the opportunity to refine his sense of independence he acquires an essential lifelong skill.
“To teach details is to bring confusion; to establish the relationship between things is to bring knowledge.” -Maria Montessori
We believe a multi-sensory environment for children to explore is vital to creating a lasting learning experience. Through these experiences, children naturally refine their analytical skills, maintain focus, and make keen observations. NIA House Montessori teachers believe when your child is guided through these experiences she obtains the skills necessary to acquire a holistic understanding of the world around her.
